| There are different requirements for non Muslim and Muslim marriages. For Non Muslims, basically we just need to obtain a license and fill a few forms from the Registration Department and Immigrations. Since Malaysian Shariah law does not allow a Muslim to marry a non Muslim, both parties must be Muslims. All Muslim Marriages must be registered with The Religious Council.
Here are the requirements:
1. Copy of certified passport of spouse 2. Letter of Consent from Embassy 3. Certificate of Citizenship of Spouse from the Immigration If spouse is women, must have letter of consent from wali (guardian) or guardian must be there.
Marriage will be registered and conducted by the Religious Council.
